Petra House was born from a lifelong dream.

For Issa Abudakar, opening his own restaurant was more than a business goal—it was a way to honor his family, his culture, and the food he grew up loving. That dream became a reality in the fall of 2013 when Petra House opened its doors in Vancouver, Washington.

Every dish we serve is rooted in tradition. Our recipes have been lovingly passed down through Issa’s family—from his mother, to his sister, and ultimately to him—preserving the flavors, techniques, and care that have been shared around their table for generations.

At Petra House, food is personal. We believe great meals start with great ingredients, which is why we use only the freshest produce and prepare all of our dishes with halal and kosher meats. Each plate is crafted with intention, respect, and pride in the heritage.
